SPECIAL EXHIBITIONS

Martin Schoeller, Human Voices

CAMERA WORK Gallery debuts Human Voices, a curated suite of Close Ups by renowned photographer Martin Schoeller that honors internationally active philanthropists whose advocacy spans education, culture, social justice, environmental stewardship, and sustainability. Presented for the first time, this powerful exhibition brings together twelve of Martin Schoeller’s iconic Close Up portraits, honoring individuals who channel their influence toward the greater good. On view within the fair’s VIP Lounge, Human Voices celebrates those advancing education, culture, social justice, environmental protection, and sustainability. Ten percent of all proceeds from works sold will be donated to each subject’s affiliated charitable organization.

The project features intimate portraits of figures such as Adrien Brody (Barbara Davis Center for Childhood Diabetes), Anne Hathaway (St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital), Bono (ONE/(RED)), Colin Kaepernick (Know Your Rights Camp), Dr. Jane Goodall (Jane Goodall Institute), Elton John (Elton John AIDS Foundation), Joe Namath (Joe Namath Foundation), Jon Bon Jovi (Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation), José Andrés (World Central Kitchen), Lionel Messi (Leo Messi Foundation), Meryl Streep (National Women’s History Museum), Michael Jordan (Make-A-Wish Foundation), Oprah Winfrey (Oprah Winfrey Charitable Foundation), Pierce Brosnan (Artists for Peace and Justice), Serena Williams (UNICEF), Shepard Fairey (Shepard & Amanda Fairey Foundation), Viola Davis (Davis-Tennon Foundation), and Warren Buffett (Gates Foundation), presenting influence as a platform for public good. Human Voices invites media and audiences to consider how these portraits can create dialogue around celebrity philanthropy and responsibility.

Chase Contemporary (Palm Beach) presents EXCERPTS FROM THE TAJ MAHAL, featuring the remaining artifacts and works by Peter Tunney from his legendary outdoor exhibition on the beach at Faena Hotel Miami and his year-long installation at Wynwood Walls. Inspired by the final scene of the original film "The Planet of the Apes," Tunney envisions a future world filled with relics of the golden decadence of the 1990s. The original TAJ installation was a cultural sensation, drawing over a million visitors and widespread media attention. Eight years later, these iconic pieces—EXCERPTS from the original show—return with renewed relevance, offering new context for audiences at Art Miami 2025. "The only responsibility of the artist is to know the time in which he lives" - E.L. Doctorow.
