About
For this year’s edition of Art Miami, we are excited to present a solo booth dedicated to the multidisciplinary artist David Drebin whose mysterious and suspenseful images seem like snapshots from a film. His carefully crafted artworks spark the imagination and tell stories waiting to unfold. Since our first exhibition in 2019, we have had the privilege of representing Drebin’s work in Scandinavia.
This solo booth would bring together a focused selection of David Drebin's most significant works alongside his latest photographs, including the series Super Star and his sparkling Diamond Dust works. We will also present his latest book Dream the World, published in collaboration with teNeues publishing.
Galleri GKM was founded in 1967 by Solveig and Siwert Bergström and is today operated by the second and third generation. The gallery is based in Stockholm, with an additional office in Paris.
Since its beginnings in Jönköping, the gallery has developed into an established international platform with a strong presence in Sweden and France. The gallery represents contemporary international art, spanning established artists like Arman, Valerio Adami, César, Corneille, Erró, Peter Klasen, Roberto Matta alongside a younger generation of artists, f.ex. David Drebin, Philippe Huart, William Sweetlove, Russell Young, FenX & Hunt Slonem whose practices engage with the present through a distinct pictorial language.
Galleri GKM works with original paintings, photography and sculptures as well as own editions, including multiples, prints and art books.
In 2027, Galleri GKM celebrates 60 years in the art world. No one can predict how the art of tomorrow will be, neither who will be the artists to create it. The only thing that is certain, is that art will be created tomorrow and that we will be where art appears.
