Damon Arhos is an interdisciplinary artist whose work unfolds queer culture across media, seeking to promote love and acceptance while investigating social and political issues of gender and sexuality. Arhos uses personally significant pop cultural references to
make his work approachable to viewers. In a new series Agnes Moorehead & Me, Arhos first digitally combined his face with that of actor Agnes Moorehead, who was an icon to the gay community, then used those photographs to paint these slippery alchemical portraits.
