SANTIAGO CARBONELL, a painter living in Mexico since 1986, of Spanish nationality, was born in Quito, Ecuador, in 1960. He is a symbol of contemporary realistic painting with a classical tradition. In 2010 he ventured into muralism and painted the Commemorative Mural of the Bicentennial of the Independence of Mexico and Centennial of the Mexican Revolution of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation Building, Mexico D.F.
