FERNANDO DE SZYSZLO (Lima, Perú, 1925). Painter, engraver and sculptor. He studied at the Plastic Arts School of Lima’s Catholic University. Resides in Paris between 1949 and 1955. In 1985, the Latin American Contemporary Art Museum of Washington, D.C., presents a retrospective of his work. In 1966, he participates in the symposium “Resonante autour d’André Breton,” in honor of the poet’s centennial. In 2003, he presents a retrospective at Paris’Maison de l’Amerique Latine and the following year at Rome’s Instituto Italo Latinoamericano.
