Detailed Description : The artist Kang Yehsine uses imaginative narrative as if it is a storytelling through drawing, sculpture, and painting. The artist focuses on human emotions that we face in our daily lives and uses a personification of rabbit as herself. By telling a story of her inner mind and experience through her symbolic images, she creates her own world on the canvas. Especially, book shelf travels beyond the reality. Her works, which tell human lives’ stories, form a bond of sympathy and communication for the viewer.

Detailed Description : Kwon Kisoo works in a wide range of media, including painting, sculpture and video. He creates graphic fantasies comprised of Techni- color wands of bamboo, popping plum blossoms, and expanses of brilliant color schemes. Most of his works are inhabited by a modern icon of his own creation: an alter ego named Dongguri, a human-shaped figure formed by symbolized and purified black lines, is a mechanic, simplified image and thought of modernization, a metaphor. Everyone wants to be Dongguri, and could become Dongguri, to bring the shining smile and energy to him or herself, as well as to others.

Detailed Description : The passion for the work of my friend who sat next to me would be similar to that of Manet. The solitude we face as we work is similar to that of Van Gogh. The agony of the work will be like Rothko. My friend's aptitude on coffee will be like Vermeer.I listen to the music, see the scenery of the street, the people who face each other, and I spread my imagination in small everyday life. I do not distinguish between reality and imagination, past and present, East and West, art and everyday life in my work. On top of all the great history and art, our ordinary routine lies. Great history and art are unfolded on ordinary everyday life.

Detailed Description : Lee Jae-Sam’s precise depictions of the natural world are a result of his contemplations as a man and creative efforts as an artist. Through such reflections on space and endeavors of time he discovers and presents truth found in nature that is pure and unaltered in form. At first glance, it is apparent that Lee presents scenes of plant life on the canvas in realistic form. There is, at the same time, equally as much to be found in the darkness that encapsulates the tangible and revealed. In fact, it is in this darkness where the deepest truths can be found in the layers of mystery that reside there. The balance between what is drawn upfront and the depth of what lies beyond creates a physical tension and spiritual harmony. While much effort and time go into producing these large canvases of charcoal drawing and ink painting, the inspiration is a self-meditative process. By painstakingly drawing and painting plant life with a material that is itself derived from organic substance long ago, Lee connects the ancient past he is a part of and living in. A forest is a massive world of its own made up of countless micro universes that exist in the light and in the darkness beyond the light. Even though Lee’s works are realistic in presentation, he has successfully captured the mystery and beauty of the dark forest in his interpretation.
