Regina Scully (Norfolk, VA 1975 - )

About

New Orleans-based painter, born in Norfolk, Virginia, Scully received her B.F.A. in Painting from Rhode Island School of Design and her M.F.A. in Painting from University of New Orleans. Scully’s paintings are in private and public collections including the Microsoft Art Collection, (2010, 2013), the Frederick R. Weisman Art Foundation Collection, the Capital One Art Collection, and the New Orleans Museum of Art (2014, 2016). A catalog of recent paintings and works on paper with an accompanying essay by Dan Cameron was published in summer, 2015.

In January, 2016, she gave a lecture at the New Orleans Museum of Art and attended the awarded Hermitage Artist Retreat Residency in October 2015. She was also part of the artist panel at the inaugural Southern Style Festival in New Orleans in May. In addition to work on other projects, she is currently preparing for a solo exhibition at the New Orleans Museum of Art and for her solo exhibition at C24 Gallery scheduled for November/December of 2017.

Regina Scully lives in New Orleans, Louisiana and maintains a daily practice in her studio in Holy Cross. Born in Norfolk, Virginia, Scully received her B.F.A. in Painting from Rhode Island School of Design and her M.F.A. in Painting from University of New Orleans.
