About

Marina Gisich Gallery was established in 2000 by Marina Gisich. The gallery was one of the pioneering in St. Petersburg. Today it holds one of the leading positions on the Russian contemporary art market. Since its opening, the gallery has been representing wellknown masters as well as the artists who started their work during Perestroika and now are well-established in the global art scene (Vitaly Pushnitsky, Marina Alexeeva, Kerim Ragimov, Gregori Maiofis, Vladimir Kustov, Evgeny Yufit, Peter Belyi, Kirill Chelushkin). The gallery also presents the young generation of Russian artists, what was shaped the last 5-8 years: Tatyana Akhmetgalieva, Ivan Gorshkov, Tim Parchikov, Semyon Motolyanets. The gallery willingly promotes contemporary art both locally and internationally. Lately several successful projects have been brought to life under the gallery’s curatorial oversight: Ural Vision Gallery (Ekaterinburg), "Crystallizations" exhibition (Waino Aaltonen Museum, Finland).
