Alice Rahon (France 6-8-1904 - Mexico 1987)

Alice Rahon was born in France where she was active as a poet. Rahon came in contact with the Surrealists in Paris which influenced her poetry. She moved to Mexico during the 1930s, there she developed her work and started painting. She got involved with the European émigré artists in Mexico City and participated to the Surrealist magazine DYN with her poetry and paintings, which was produced in Mexico City during this time.
